Swansea City have reportedly rejected Sheffield United's bid of £15million for striker Ollie McBurnie according to Sky Sports News.
Talks for a possible move reportedly took place at the weekend as the Premier League newcomers looked to finalise a deal for the Scotland international.
Chris Wilder signed Callum Robinson from Preston North End last week and retains an interest in Brentford's Neal Maupay who has four Premier League clubs plus West Brom vying for his signature.
McBurnie scored in both Swansea's victories over Sheffield United in the 2018/19 season, and for Barnsley against them towards the end of the season prior.
However, United will concentrate immediate efforts on McBurnie as they look to persuade Swansea to sell with the striker keen to play in the Premier League.
The 23-year-old is said to be valued at approximately £20million with two years left on his contract with The Swans.
