Five Nigerian players linked with Premier League moves

The summer transfer window is in full swing and clubs are making moves for players whom they believe will add class and quality to their team in the upcoming season.

Some Super Eagles players are linked with a move from one European club to another, but who are the Nigerians linked with a switch to Premier League clubs?

John Obi Mikel

Newly promoted Premier League clubs Sheffield United and Norwich City are reportedly in the race for Mikel's signature after a very convincing outing with Middlesbrough last season.

The former Chelsea midfielder is currently without a club but an impressive performance with the Super Eagles at the AFCON will change things for him.

Jamilu Collins

After a successful season in Germany where he helped his club Paderborn 07 secure promotion to the Bundesliga, the Super Eagles left-back may be on his way to England.

A number of Premier League clubs are monitoring his progress and they are set to run the rule over him in Egypt.

Samuel Chukwueze

The 20-year-old Villarreal star needs no introduction as he was one of La Liga's young prospects throughout last season.

He is a target for Champions League winners Liverpool while recent rumours suggest that Manchester City are equally interested in luring him to the Etihad Stadium.

David Okereke

The Dream Team VII winger is a source of transfer speculations as reports claimed that at least three Premier League clubs are vying for his signature. Crystal Palace, Newcastle United and Southampton are keeping close tabs on the Italy-based player.

Emmanuel Dennis Bonaventure

The Nigeria U23 forward is a shock transfer target for Arsenal as Unai Emery wants a more competitive front line next season.

His seven-goal performance for Club Brugge last season is seemingly enough to attract Emery's attention but it remains unknown if the Gunners will reach Brugge's £12 million price tag.
