Croatian side Dinamo Zagreb have reportedly lodged a bid of €3 million for Sheffield United, Derby County, and Norwich City target Simon Sluga.
Now, reports from Croatia have claimed that Sheffield United, Norwich and Derby have lodged offers of up to €2.5 million to try and tempt the goalkeeper to England, But, their offer has been topped by Croatian side Dinamo Zagreb, who have made an offer of €3 million plus a sell-on percentage of 20% to try and secure Sluga’s signature ahead of the 2019/20 season.
He has been in impressive form in Croatia this season, keeping 13 clean sheets in 41 games across all competitions, conceding 41 goals along the way. His form has warranted a call-up to the Croatia national squad ahead of their upcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers.
Sluga’s contract with HNK Rijeka expires at the end of next season and the club could be looking to sell him this summer to bring an end to any worry that they could lose him on a free transfer at the end of next season.
Both the Blades and the Canaries are looking to reinforce their goalkeeper ranks ahead of their return to Premier League football. The Rams are on the lookout for a new shot-stopper too, with Kelle Roos yet to sign a new deal.
