Manchester United to offer Pogba captaincy to persuade him to stay
Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is set to be offered captaincy role by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in a bid to convince him to stay at the club.
Pogba has been linked with moves away from United with Real Madrid termed possible destination for the World Cup winner. According to ESPN FC, Solskjaer is keen to make Pogba United captain with Antonio Valencia set to leave on a free transfer at the end of the month.
Ashley Young has been deputizing the role and was in line to take over from Valencia as the captain but the right-back could have limited playtime with Solskjaer looking for his replacement. And as reported by ESPN FC, Pogba who was stri[pped of captaincy duties by Mourinho could be given the armband to lead the team from next season.
