Solanke ruled out for the rest of the season, could feature in U21 Euro Championship

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has conceded that striker Dominic Solanke will not feature for the Cherries again in this season but should be in form for England U21 in the European Championship finals.

The former Liverpool has been dealt with a hamstring injury after coming off the bench for Bournemouth's 3-3 draw at Southampton in April.

Solanke did not feature in Saturday (May 4) 1-0 victory over Tottenham and has been ruled out of the Premier League season finale fixture against Crystal Palace.

However, Howe believes the injury is not much concern and Solanke will be fit for the Young Lion's Group C opener against France on June 18.

Asked whether Solanke’s injury could be a concern for the tournament in Italy and San Marino, Howe replied: “There will be no concern, I think he will be right. We will get him fit in no time.

“It’s just frustrating for him that, since he has come in, he’s picked up a couple of these muscle injuries, which has just restricted his progress.”

The Cherries boss also confirmed Dan Gosling would not feature again this campaign after picking up a calf problem. David Brooks “may play” at Palace.
