While Nigerian forward Kelechi Iheanacho is struggling at his English Premier League club, Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers has been urged to old on to him.
Iheanacho, who is currently on a six months goal drought, has made 33 appearances so far this term, scoring two goals and providing three assists.
The former Manchester City forward was also left out of Nigeria’s national team squad that defeated Seychelles in an Africa Nations Cup qualifier and in an international friendly match against Egypt last month.
According to a report on Leicester City Mercury, Brendan Rodgers should keep the 22-year old whose talent is yet to be fully utilized.
“He (Iheanacho) may be on a six-month goal drought but there is no indication that City has given up on Iheanacho, with Rodgers tasking himself with turning around the Nigerian’s fortunes.
"There is talent there, City just needs to draw it out,” the report reads.
