Chelsea to let Gonzalo Higuan leave after loan deal

25 Apr 2019, 20:00

Chelsea will reportedly let Gonzalo Higuain leave after his loan deal expires at the end of the season, according to Football Italia

The Argentine has struggled to impress for the Blues since arriving from AC Milan in January and the club have "no intention" of extending his stay at Stamford Bridge.

Higuain, who has scored just four goals in 14 appearances for Maurizio Sarri's side, could be used in a swap deal with Inter Milan for want-away striker Mauro Icardi who is also a target for Paris Saint-Germain and Atletico Madrid.

The 31-year-old scored a stunner for Chelsea as they battled to a 2-2 draw with Burnley on Monday night.
