Former Super Eagles defender Taribo West has cautioned Nigeria to be wary of AFCON 2019 group B opponents Madagascar.
Nigeria face the Islanders in the final group game on 30 June in Alexandria. West says that Madagascar does have footballers who ply their trade abroad, despite having no professional league back home.
“There is no more weak team, and most of them having professional players playing abroad,” West told Brila.
“None of them have learned professionalism so it will be very difficult for us”.
The 45-year-old West, who retired with 42 Super Eagles caps added that Nigeria can count on experience.
“Experience, however, is your side, but there are no weak teams or countries you would want to look down on,” he concluded.
