Africa's dangerman to face Arsenal, who is Ismaïla Sarr?
Arsenal welcome French side Stade Rennes to the Emirates in a must-win UEFA Europa League last 16-second leg tie, with that, Futaa looks at why Rennes’ Senegalese star, Ismaïla Sarr, will be the dangerman.
With eight goals in 14 Europa League appearances, as well as six goals and eight assists in Ligue 1, Sarr is undoubtedly the man that has been mentioned several times by Unai Emery to Arsenal defenders in the past week.
So who is Sarr? Where else has he played? What are his strengths and playing style?
The 21-year-old was born in the Northwest coastal city of Saint-Louis, Senegal. Unsurprisingly, Sarr was schooled in the famed Génération Foot Academy, which has also produced the likes of Liverpool star Sadio Mane and former West Ham forward Diafra Sakho.

At just 21, Sarr doesn’t have many previous clubs. His only other club after leaving Senegal when he was 18 is French Ligue 2 side, FC Metz. It was there where the young winger delivered five goals in 31 appearances to earn his move to Rennes in 2017.
A Lion of Teranga
Sarr already has international caps (20 games) for the Senegalese national team, making his debut for the Lions of Teranga on 15 January 2017 against Tunisia.
Will the West African youngster torment Arsenal or will the Gunners' defense manage to keep him completely quiet? Find out this evening at 21:00 EAT.
