Chelsea suffered their worst defeat in the English Premier League era after their 6-0 evisceration at the hands of Manchester City with Jamie Carragher claiming that Maurizio Sarri has "turned Chelsea into Arsenal".
The defeat has piled more pressure on Sarri’s future at Chelsea and was asked about his future at the club but noted that “It is right. I am in charge of the team so it is right [that I face pressure]. You will have to ask the club [if there will be discussions about my future]”. Chelsea have now suffered three consecutive away losses after going down 4-0 to Bournemouth and 2-0 to Arsenal.
Speaking in a show at Sky Sports, Carragher compared Arsenal to Chelsea, “City have been outstanding, but this has been as bad as anything from Chelsea this season. It's only halfway through Sarri's first season but the worst thing I can say is it looks like he has turned Chelsea into Arsenal. The Arsenal team that has got battered away from home in the last seven or eight years because they have been too weak.”
