Stoke City man set to snub Arsenal for Liverpool

Stoke City goalkeeper Jack Butland is reportedly going to snub Arsenal and sign for Liverpool in the summer, in what is expected to be a £40 million deal.

Petr Cech’s form has forced Arsenal to reconsider their options ahead of next season with David Ospina expected to leave the club after the World Cup. Jurgen Klopp has recently placed his faith in Loris Karius but the Mirror claims the German believes England international Butland would represent an upgrade on his current options.

Earlier in the week reports claimed Simon Mignolet had switched agents with a view to leaving Anfield at the end of the current campaign.

Stoke is resigned to losing their No.1 goalkeeper but believe they can attract a fee in advance of the world record £34.7million which brought Ederson to Manchester City from Benfica last summer.
