City set to lock horns with Liverpool over ace

Manchester City and Liverpool are reportedly set to battle for OGC Nice midfielder Jean Michael Seri.

English news outlet Daily Mail has claimed that the Ivorian is open to a Premier League switch after his dream switch to Barcelona fell through last summer when Nice president Jean-Pierre Rivere rejected a £35.2m offer from the Spanish giants.

Seri, who was rumoured to have been angered by the failed move, is believed to be keen on leaving the Ligue 1 up-and-comers in the upcoming transfer window or next summer - a development that has put City boss Pep Guardiola and Liverpool chief Jurgen Klopp on high alert.

The midfield maestro is said to be looking for a bigger challenge to help take his career to the next level and would undoubtedly be a good addition to any top side on account of his undeniable on-pitch prowess and impeccable work ethic.
