FAZ should resolve Shamujompa's case sooner rather than later
Zambia National team defender Isaac Shamujompa has been embroiled in an ownership wrangle for some time now leaving him ineligible to feature for Power Dynamos.
Shamujompa is viewed by many as the man to carry on from Stophila Sunzu once the 2012 AFCON winner hangs up his boots but with the wrangle which seems to be taking a new twist each day that dream might just be that a dream.
One would hope the Association would speed up the process of dealing with this matter for the best interest of the player and the national team. Coach Wedson Nyirenda seems to be a big fan of the player and has been included in the squad that broke camp today.
According to Sources the records at FAZ indicate that the player is a Kalulushi Modern Star player but apparently they did not finish paying Intersport the true owners, same with Nchanga Rangers while Rangers got money from Buildcon for the player and Intersport sold him to Power Dynamos.
The Association issued a card for him to play for Power Dynamos two days ago but it has since been revoked amid new revelations.
The issue is certainly complicated but for the players sake, The association and the parties involved need to come to an understanding or else he will be just another wasted talent.
