United reject Spurs bid for ace

Manchester United have reportedly turned down an offer from Tottenham for forward Anthony Martial.

The Spurs have been dormant all summer as far as adding fresh talent to their ranks is concerned - a development believed to be brought about by boss Mauricio Pochettino’s belief that his current squad has what it takes to make another successful run at the coveted Premier League title.

Reputable sources however claim that the tactician seems to have had a change of heart and admitted his interest in acquiring Martial, who has yet to fully break into the Starting XI since joining the English giants from Ligue 1 champions AS Monaco in 2015.

Though the details of the failed bid are not yet known, it is believed that Tottenham will have to part with upwards of £60m to land the marksman since United paid £58m for the 21-year-old just two years ago. Serie A powerhouse Inter Milan have also been recently linked with the Frenchman.
