Super Eagles striker set to dump Austrian club

Super Eagles striker Olarenwaju Kayode is set to dump his Austrian club FK Austria Wien.

The Nigerian forward, who was the season’s top scorer with 17 goals in 33 league games in the Austrian Tipigo Bundesliga, is attracting interests ahead of the new season.

Kayode’s agent, Frants Hertsogis, says they are listening to offers from top Russian Premier League sides, FC Lokomotiv Moscow and CSKA Moscow, over a possible move.

Spartak Moscow recently invited Hertsogis for a closed door discussion with the clubs’ chieftains in a move to get Kayode on board for next season.

Another top club seeking to sign Kayode is Israeli top side Maccabi Netanya, and it is believed Hertsogis may also weigh that option, pending the outcome of his discussions with FC Lokomotiv Moscow and CSKA Moscow.

The Generali Arena outfit finished second on the league table behind RedBull Salzburg with 63 points and will play in the Europa League next season.

Kayode is yet to score his international goal for Nigeria.
