Uganda Cranes first shot stopper, Denis Onyango was named 'Man of the Match' as his club Mamelodi Sundowns edged Golden Arrows to ascend to the premier soccer league summit.

The reigning African player of the year made a series of eye catching saves to keep off the hosts at the Princess Magogo Stadium.

Onyango, who was making his fifth consecutive league appearance since returning from injury, was called to duty as early as the seventh minute when he superbly saved Mahachi's attempt in a one on one scenario.

The striker was again denied by the Ugandan keeper's heroics in the 56th minute. Mahachi powered a ferocious shot but met an equally wonderful save.

Percy Tau combined up with Kharma billiat two minutes later in a reply attack before laying for captain Hlompho Kekana to put the Brazilians ahead.

Motjeka Madisha headed in from a corner kick in the 70th minute to wrap up the maximum points and send Sundowns to the summit with 50 points, one and a game ahead of Cape Town City FC.
