Twahir full of praise for Bandari youngster
Bandari coach Twahir Muhiddin has touted Masoud Juma as the next big thing in Kenyan football.
The youthful striker, who joined the Coastal outfit in June 2014, endured a tough 2015 campaign that saw him spend 6 months on the sidelines after suffering a nagging ankle injury against SoNy Sugar on April 11.
Prior to that setback, the Kenya U23 call-up had 2 goals under his belt in the Kenya Premier League and he took his tally to 3 for the season with a goal in the GOtv Shield final match against Nakumatt.
-He is a star in the making. He likes taking on the finesse shot which is a special thing for a striker. There are some tricks of the trade that he still has to learn, Twahir told Futaa.com
-Whenever he plays you can see that he is green. He is still learning and developing. He still has a big room for improvement, added Twahir.
GOtv final goal
Recounting on his goal against Nakumatt-which came 8 minutes after his introduction-Twahir revealed that he had a pep talk with Masoud before pulling out the off colour Farid Mohammed five minutes after the half hour mark.
-Before I sent him in, I told him this is a final and it is live on TV. Go out there and make your name. I am glad he did well and I thank him for that, recalled Twahir.
The youngster has previously featured for Isiolo Youth and defunct Kambakia Christian Centre (KCC) FC.
