Northampton Town have signed young Brentford midfielder Emmanuel Oyeleke of Nigerian descent on a month's loan.

The 20-year old who was released from the Chelsea academy in 2008 has made two senior appearances for the Bees but has failed to feature for the League One side this season.

Cbblers boss Aidy Boothroyd on the club’s official website said he’s confident that Oyeleke will be a positive addition to his squad.

-I have watched Manny play a number of times and he will add to our squad. I think we can help Manny and I know he can help us. Boothroyd told the club website.

Versatile

The versatility of Oyeleke stood him out amongst other targets the club had lined up according to the coach.

-He is a strong, athletic, combative midfield player who can play anywhere across the midfield or at full-back.

-He is here to challenge for and compete for a first-team place and to gain experience. The coach concluded
