Kenyan quartet set to leave for Egypt

Four Kenyan match officials are set to leave for Cairo where they are scheduled to take charge of the normally explosive match between local rivals Zamalek and Al Ahly who are in Group B of the CAF Champions League.

Wednesday departure

The four officials; center referee Sylvester Kirwa, 1st assistant referee Aden Marwa, 2nd assistant referee Peter Kiereini and reserve referee Thomas Onyango will be flying to the North African country on Wednesday 18 July at 0500hrs aboard EgyptAir.

The match will be played at the Military Stadium Cairo on 22nd July.

Sylvester Kirwa’s last match to officiate was the encounter between Mathare United and Sofapaka on Wednesday 11 July while Thomas Onyango officiated in the international friendly match between South Sudan and Uganda. Aden Marwa was the first assistant in the encounter between Gor Mahia and Chemelil Sugar on Sunday 15 July at the Afraha Stadium.
