Power Dynamos continued their impressive run under new coach Perry Mutapa as they beat Mighty Mufulira Wanderers 2-0 at Arthur Davies Stadium this afternoon.
Dave Daka was the hero of the day scoring either side of halftime. Daka found the back of the net in the 28th minute before doubling the lead in the 49th minute to complete a comfortable 2-0 win.
The win is the first for Power Dynamos since Mufulira Wanderers returned back to the Super League in 2015.
The win takes Power Dynamos to 6th place on the log with 27 points from 16 games while Mighty Mufulira Wanderers remain rooted at the bottom of the table with 8 points after playing 17 matches.
Power dynamos midfielder Mukuka Mulenga who was key to the 2011 league winning season came from the bench to replace goalscorer Dave Daka in the 83rd to play his game for Abayellow since 2013.
Mukuka who has been unattached since 2016 signed a deal with Abayellow on 31st December, Mulenga spent four years at Arthur Davies Stadium and was a key member of the 2011 Super League winning squad before his big move to PSL side Mamelodi Sundowns.
Mukuka showed little flashes of his brilliant best with beautiful passes but its too early to tell if he can really regain his form after being out of action for over three years.
