Power Dynamos head coach Perry Mutapa described his team's emphatic 3-0 win over arch-rivals Nkana as a sweet victory.
Mutapa who took charge of his first Kitwe derby since his appointment as the new gaffer for Abayellow attributed the win to the players' ability to follow instructions and stick to the game plan.
"Sweet victory we were playing an in-form team Nkana who had gone eight games without a loss and we knew it was going to be difficult. We prepared well to police Mbombo, Mubanga and keep our passing football," he said.
" It's very good for the players who were working according to instructions in the first half we kept possession and scored one goal but we could have done better and at half time we told them to play in Nkana's half and we won the game, " he added.
Luka Chamanga put Power Dynamos in the lead three minutes to half time while Davy Daka and Fred Mulambia netted in the second half to secure a well deserved 3-0 win for Abayellow who made it 13 wins in their last 29 Kitwe derbies.
The win also takes Power Dynamos to seventh place on the log with 20 points and just within four points of the top-four bracket.
