AFCON 2021 qualifier: Super Eagles coach Rohr handed injury boost

Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has been handed injury boost ahead of two 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying matches against theRepublic of Benin and Lesotho in November.

The duo of Kenneth Omeruo and Samuel Kalu have returned to competitive action after missing Nigeria's friendly against Brazil.

Omeruo played for all 90 minutes and even bagged a yellow card in Leganes' 2-0 defeat to Getafe at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez on Saturday.

Kalu saw 55 minutes of action for Bordeaux in a 1-0 loss to Saint-Etienne before he was replaced with Hwang Ui-Jo.

The Super Eagles will face the Republic of Benin on November 11, before they battle Lesotho in their match-day two AFCON qualifier in Maseru.
