Crystal Palace winger Andros Townsend has slammed his club for mocking Manchester United left-back Ashley Young.
Palace, on Monday, posted a clip of Wilfried Zaha flooring the United star with his silky skills during Saturday’s match on their Twitter account.
In the clip, Zaha receives the ball on the right flank before he charges towards the former Aston Villa winger. He beats Young with a speedy step over then sends him crashing to the ground with a fake shot.
Zaha, 26, attempts to put a ball into the box, but the 34-year-old manages to climb back to his feet to block the cross.
Palace added the caption: “Wilf had him dancing. #CPFC.”
The Funny Part
Townsend, who has been at the club since 2016, however, didn’t see the funny part and gave a reply: “A 34 y/o ex winger vs one of the league’s best wingers.
“He gets destroyed twice yet still manages to block the cross... we should be applauding this not making fun of it #Respect.”
Palace shockingly beat United at Old Trafford with Patrick Van Aanholt scoring a last-gasp winner just minutes after Daniel James’ had canceled a Jordan Ayew opener.
