In a weekend with seven away wins in the Premier League and a couple of upsets, OPTA's coverage of the weekend was as interesting and varied as ever.  

Here are some of our highlights; Ashley Barnes is on fire, there's a serious a bromance developing between Sergio Agüero & David Silva and Kevin De Bruyne is the quickest ever player to reach 50 assists in the Premier League. 

OPTA stats from game week 3 🎯

  • Tottenham had 79.8% possession in their 0-1 defeat to Newcastle; the second-highest figure for a losing side in the Premier League since 2003-04, behind only Liverpool's 80.4% against Burnley in August 2016. 
  • Raul Jimenez's goal after 96 minutes and 55 seconds was the latest scored in the Premier League since January 2017, when Alexis Sanchez scored a penalty after 97 minutes and 14 seconds for Arsenal against Burnley. 
  • Only Sergio Agüero (16) and Sadio Mané (15) have scored more Premier League goals than Ashley Barnes (13) in 2019. 
  • Sergio Agüero and David Silva have now combined for 27 goals in the Premier League - the only duos to combine for more are Thierry Henry and Robert Pires (29) and Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard (36).
  • Sergio Agüero has now scored 400 goals for club and country combined, with 235 of those coming for Manchester City.
  • Kevin De Bruyne has now made 50 assists in the Premier League, achieving this milestone in the fewest appearances of any player in the competition's history (123).
  • Liverpool has won 12 consecutive Premier League games, their best-ever winning streak in the competition – it has also equalled their longest winning run in league competition (12 between April-October 1990 under Kenny Dalglish).
  • Mohamed Salah has been directly involved in seven goals in his six Premier League appearances against Arsenal (five goals, two assists), scoring in all four of his home games against them
  • Nicolas Pepe has become the first player to successfully dribble past Virgil van Dijk in the Dutch defender's last 50 appearances in the Premier League, since Mikel Merino in March 2018 for Newcastle
  • Tammy Abraham (21y 326d) is the third-youngest player to score twice in a Premier League game for Chelsea, after Mark Nicholls v Coventry in January 1998 (20y 225d) and Eddie Newton v Tottenham in December 1992 (20y 358d).
