With both players taking part in the 2019 African Cup of Nations, Naby Keita has shared on his relationship with his Liverpool teammate Mohamed Salah.
Keita joined Cameroon's Joel Matip who did not make the squad for the continental showpiece, Egypt's Salah and Senegal's Sadio Mane at Anfield last July and went on to make 31 appearances across all competitions with three goals and an assist to his credit. An abductor injury in the first leg clash against Barcelona forced him out of the UEFA Champions League final but returned to face Madagascar.
In an interview with the club's official portal, Keita spoke of his relationship with Salah, "Very well, he always gives me some advice on the pitch in Liverpool. He's a nice guy who works hard. When he works at the gym, he always asks me to join him. He looks after me like I'm his little brother."
Both will be in action tomorrow as Keita's Guinea battle against Nigeria while Salah and Egypt will take on DR Congo.
