Rabiot rejects Manchester United, favours Italian move
Adrien Rabiot is set to reject a move to Manchester United and join Italian side Juventus this week.
This is arguably the longest drawn-out transfer saga this year with Rabiot having not played for Paris Saint Germain since December after he told the club he won’t be extending his stay. With his contract set to expire next month, the Frenchman has been linked with Real Madrid, Arsenal and Tottenham but Manchester United were said to be leading the race.
Last week, the 24-year-old admitted two clubs, United and Juve are battling for his signature adding that he likes Italy.
“I like Italy very much. Staying here is wonderful, you can rest and recharge your batteries. A demanding season awaits me,” he said.
“Juve came looking for me and we talked, but I can’t say anything else. I still don’t know where I’ll go. They’re a great club, where every good player would like to play. The same applies to them [United]. I still have to make a decision. I’m on holiday for now. You’ll know soon.”
As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio Rabiot will agree a move to Juventus in the next 24 hours when he will tell the Old Lady that he will move to Turin.
