FIFA WWC: Oshoala confident of victory vs South Korea

12 Jun 2019, 07:30

Nigeria's Super Falcons players have continued to talk tough ahead of Wednesday's FIFA Women's World Cup clash against South Korea.

The FIFA Women's World Cup encounter at the Stade des Alpes will kick-off at 2pm Nigerian time on Wednesday.

The Super Falcons started their campaign in the competition on a disappointing note going down to a 3-0 defeat against Norway at the Stade Auguite Delaune, Reims on Saturday.

But Oshoala is upbeat they can get the job done against the Asians and boost their chances of Round of 16.

“For us as a team, I think, we did our best and really did have not a bad game overall if you check the stats,” Oshoala, who is the team’s vice-captain told reporters on Tuesday.

“But we lost concentration for a couple of minutes which cost us the whole game. In the next game, we have to see what we can get out of it.

“Everyone just keeps being yourself. Put in more effort. Stay concentrated on the pitch, it has to be 100 per cent on the pitch.

“Just stick to the game plan and always remember where you are supposed to be at every point in time.”
