Former Chelsea defender Wayne Bridge has admitted that he is surprised how Chelsea are yet to dismiss Maurizio Sarri after a poor debut season in England.
Despite securing Champions League football with a third-place finish and reaching the Europa League final, the Blues have been inconsistent this season and failed to challenge Manchester City and Liverpool for the Premier League title.
"Some say it's been successful but it's been very up and down," Bridge told Sky Sports News.
"They've been very inconsistent and consistency is what you want of a big team. That's what's going to win you the Premier League.
"I don't really know where he [Sarri] stands. I'm very surprised that he's still there.
"They are third [in the Premier League] and they are in a final [the Europa League] but as an ex-player and a Chelsea fan, they would like to see them higher up in the table.
"I know it's third but they want to see them competing [for the title]."
Some Chelsea supporters have also questioned Sarri's playing style which players have struggled with this season.
