Top two can’t be split, says Hughton

10 May 2019, 17:00

Brighton boss Chris Hughton says the two teams in the Premier League cannot be separated ahead of the final game of the season on Sunday.

Brighton can still have a say in the title race, as they prepare to face Manchester City on Sunday. Regardless of whether City or Liverpool lift the trophy at the end of the season, Hughton acknowledges how far ahead of the rest of league those two teams have been.

“The top two can't be split - they've both been outstanding. One won't win the title, whoever doesn't will come second with an incredible amount of points. It's been an exciting week for the sport - not many people expected this,” said Hughton

Liverpool and Manchester City who are separated by a point will be up against Wolverhampton and Brighton respectively in the final game of this season’s Premier League campaign.
