Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri is at loggerheads with the club's board, after it emerged that the team will travel to play a friendly in the United States before the Europa League final.
According to the Italian, the team needs a few days' rest before the Baku final against Arsenal and feels the trip to the USA is an unwelcome disruption.
"Now we need to rest. Unfortunately, we have to go to play in the United States," Sarri said in his post-match interview after the win over Frankfurt.
"Because I think in this moment, we need to rest. We have 10 days to prepare for the final. We have to recover energy because we are really very tired," he added.
The Blues travel to Leicester for their final Premier League match under little or no pressure knowing that they have already qualified for the Champions League next season.
The final between Chelsea and the Gunners will be played on May 29th in Baku, Azerbaijan.
