AmaZulu team manager Qedi Dlamini has confirmed reports that La Liga club Espanyol have shown interest in signing defensive midfielder Samuel Darpoh.
According to a Daily Sun reports, the Spanish side are hoping to strengthen their squad by signing Darpoh.
However, no official confirmation has been made by the club that is currently 12th on the La Liga log.
Dlamini told the publication: "There's something from Espanyol... it is their wish."
The Ghana-born star has made 28 Absa Premiership appearances in the 2018/19 season and appears to be an important component of coach Cavin Johnson's side.
The 21-year-old was discovered from the Durban giants' academy during the 2016/17 campaign when they were still playing in the National First Division.
Usuthu recently offered the rising star a three-year deal as they look to secure his services ahead of any bigger move abroad.
AmaZulu are said to be close to striking up a partnership deal with Espanyol, which could take place in the near future.
