Moura bags hat trick as Wanyama scores first goal of season in Spurs win over Huddersfield
Tottenham headed into the game with a huge motivation following their 1-0 win over Manchester City in the Champions League on Tuesday. Playing at home, this was Spurs' third match in their new Stadium and having won the two opening games, the north London side was keen to maintain the 100% win record.
Spurs broke the deadlock in the 24th minute through Victor Wanyama as the club's first shot on target resulted to goal. Davies delivered the ball to Llorente's feet but the Spaniard actually didn't touch it allowing Wanyama to go through on goal. More of a miss than a dummy but Wanyama was through o goal with a nice touch and the rounded Hamer before rolling it into the net.
Huddersfield pushed up looking for an instant reply, but they were caught out on the right. Sissoko received it 40 yards out, took a few touches and slipped in Moura, who was at an acute angle with a lot to do. But he found the far corner brilliantly with a fierce finish past Hamer.
Eriksen found a pocket on the right flank, with Spurs three on three. The Dane cut it central for Moura as Son took two defenders with him, and Moura's touch was lovely. It set it up for him, 10 yards out, and he tucked it into the bottom right corner past Hamer.
In the stoppage time, Son picked it up 20 yards outside of the box and drove forward, before slipping Moura in at an angle on the right of the box. He had a lot to do to beat Hamer from the angle, but he did! He found the top left corner with a fine, flash finish. Brilliant goal.
