Silas: The mandate is to beat Bantu to reach CAFCC group stage
Rangers International will play against Lesotho's Bantu FC on Sunday, January 13 in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup in Lesotho.
Bright Silas, Rangers' attacker said that all players in the teams know their duty and that is to beat Bantu in order to increase their chances of reaching the group stages of the Confederations Cup.
Silas told a radio sports programme that although they will be playing away from home, he has no doubts that Rangers will come away with a decent result and that The Flying Antelopes will be going all out.
Bright also acknowledged the fact that the quality of play and result they will produce on the day will determine their success of reaching the group stage of the second-tier continental clubs' competition.
He stressed that all the players are determined to achieve greatness with The Coal City side, hence their unanimous agreement to put in their best on Sunday and warp up the race during the return leg next weekend at Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu.
Silas said: “We know what we want. Our target is to reach the group stage, and that is what we are going to do.
“We will play with everything to win home and away. We want to reach the group stage, and that we will work hard for.
“We will give all our energy and heart to achieve something big to start January in a big way for Rangers and for Nigeria.”
