Liverpool, Man United to battle for Arsenal midfielder
English Premier League side Liverpool and Manchester United are set to battle for Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey during the January transfer window.
It is believed that Ramsey could walk for free when his contract expires with Arsenal in the summer though he would be free to talk to clubs come January 1st. Talks between the 27-year-old and the club broke down last month after the Gunners withdrew a contract offer which had been on the table for several months.
Liverpool and United have a long-standing interest in Ramsey, the latter tried to sign him when he left Cardiff for Emirates Stadium in 2008
AC Milan, Inter Milan, and Juventus are among several sides monitoring the situation, but Ramsey is thought to prefer staying in England, with his family settled in London and his wife shortly due to give birth to twins.
