Kingi takes over at Thika United

19 Sep 2018, 13:10

Former Mathare United coach Gabriel Kingi Njoroge has taken over in the same capacity at struggling Kenyan Premier League (KPL) side Thika United.

Kingi replaces Joseph Ruto who had been appointed on interim basis after John Njogu was sacked last month.

"Kingi has been with the team and the win over Gor Mahia was his first match in charge. He takes over as the Head Coach until the end of the season." A reliable source told Futaa.com

Thika remains rooted at the bottom of the log with 23 points from 29 matches and are hoping against hope in their fight to avoid relegation.

They face Nzoia Sugar FC, Chemelil Sugar FC, Zoo FC and Bandari FC in their last league matches.
