Arsenal make shocking demand to United for Sanchez

Arsenal has reportedly demanded that Manchester United include forward Anthony Martial in their proposed deal to acquire wantaway marksman Alexis Sanchez.

English news outlet Daily Star has claimed that the Gunners appear to have accepted that the Chilean will leave the Emirates this January but insist that Martial be part of the offer since boss Arsene Wenger is admittedly a long-time admirer of the goal-getter and believes that the linchpin will be a perfect fit for his squad.

United is rumoured to have already tabled a £25m offer to acquire Sanchez, which didn’t exactly appeal to Arsenal as expected since it included struggling playmaker Henrikh Mkhitaryan - a player that Wenger has no apparent interest in.

Red Devils chief Jose Mourinho is however unlikely to agree to Arsenal’s demands since the tactician considers Martial to be a part of his future plans for the English giants - a development that is expected to negatively affect their chances of securing a deal for Sanchez.
