Klopp hits out at FA

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has hit out at the Football Association(FA) following his side's appeal against the red card handed to Sadio Mane after his clash with Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson.

The red card raised a huge disagreement between fans and football pundits with some claiming it was a red card and others noting it was nothing of the sort, and Liverpool clearly felt it was the latter, and appealed the three game ban, with FA rejecting their appeal. - I didn’t expect something different. It was really our duty to appeal. But it was a waste of time obviously. Our appeal was right because I could say if we would appealed the red card but we didn’t, said Klopp.

The Reds are of course returning to the Champions League on Wednesday, and will face Sevilla, hoping to get revenge for the Europa League final defeat the La Liga side inflicted on them.
