Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard was full of praise for Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford following his Champions League goal.

The 19-year-old scored United’s third in their 3-0 trouncing of Basel at Old Trafford last night. Rashford has also started the Premier League season strongly, scoring two goals in four appearances. Speaking after the Red Devils’ impressive performance, Gerrard couldn’t help but hail the talent of the teenager.

-I think he’s very good, he’s got a huge future ahead of him. It’s great that he’s English, not so good he’s a Man Utd player, Gerrard said.

Combined with the likes of Romelu Lukaku, Anthony Martial, Paul Pogba and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Gerrard admitted United look exciting going forward.
