Championship club confirm signing of Nigerian midfielder

English Championship club Ipswich Town FC have confirmed the signing of Nigerian midfielder Tom Adeyemi from Cardiff City.

Adeyemi has not featured for Cardiff City since March 2015, having gone on loan to Leeds United (2015–2016) and Rotherham United (2016–2017).

Ipswich Town beat interest from Norwich City to sign the player.

-Midfielder Adeyemi is latest addition to squad as he signs two year deal

-Town have beaten off interest from other Championship clubs to make a fourth addition of the summer with the arrival of Tom Adeyemi.

-The 25-year-old player signed a two-year contract, with a 12 month option on top, having become a free agent, Ipswich Town said on its website.

The son of a Nigerian father, Adeyemi is eligible for both the Nigeria and England national sides.
