Plateau United managed a slim 1-0 victory over Nasarawa United to maintain their top spot on the Nigeria Professional Football League table.

The game played at the Pantami stadium on Wednesday, was a matchday 26 fixture.

After a barren first half, the visitors conceded a penalty in the 61st minute when Peter Eneji was upended in Nasarawa's 18-yard box and the ref consequently pointed to the spot.

Emma James made no error from the spot as he converted on minute later, giving no chance for Nasarawa goalkeeper Ayeleso to keep it out.

The win takes Plateau United’s tally to 48 points, with 14 wins, six draws and six loses, while Nasarawa United remain on 37 points from 26 games.
