Super Eagles midfielder joins Slovakia club for record fee

Super Eagles midfielder Rabiu Ibrahim have joined Slovakian club šK Slovan Bratislava for a club record transfer fee.

The club's vice president Ivan Kmotrík ml said: -A transfer Ibrahim Rabiu is the largest in the history of Slovakia, it comes from the Belgian city of Gent and the total amount reaches Transfer threshold of one million euros.

-We are extremely happy to have won the top player. We wanted him already during his tenure in Trencin, initial negotiations with Gent, Belgium we have had since January this year. The negotiations with the club were very difficult and lengthy, but we have successfully finalized and signed with them for Ibrahim on a four-year contract.

-We wanted to significantly strengthen the central formation, so we decided to engage Rabiu, who in the middle will bring constructive and kick off the balance sheet.

Rabiu Ibrahim has experience in the Slovakia top-flight having made 46 games appearances for AS Trencin, with ten goals to his name during the 2016 season.
