NPFL: FC IfeanyiUbah’s Obaje nails Kano Pillars

Striker Godwin Obaje scored two goals to help FC IfeanyiUbah beat Kano Pillars 2-0 in the Nigeria Professional Football League tie played on Sunday May 28, 2017.

FC IfeanyiUbah went ahead after 13 minutes when King Osanga crosses low into Pillars' box and Obaje applied the finish.

After half time, host FC IfeanyiUbah were awarded a penalty after Alassan Ibrahim stops Obaje's cross.

Obaje converted the penalty in the 47th minute to complete his brace and seal a 2-0 win for FC IfeanyiUbah.

Sunday’s victory is FC IfeanyiUbah’s 10th win of the season, which takes them to 3rd spot on the log.

Kano Pillars drop to 13th on the league table, with 27 points from 21 games. The loss to FC IfeanyiUbah is Pillars’ 10th of the season, with eight wins and three draws to their credit.
