Plateau United wins big to reclaim top spot

Plateau United secured a massive 4-1 victory over ABS FC in a match day 15 tie to return to the top spot of the Nigeria Professional Football League table.

The hero on the night was Reuben Bala who scored a hat-trick

The game started in a rather dramatic fashion, and it was ABS coach Henry Makinwa that was sent off into the stands after just 12 minutes of play.

Plateau United coach Kennedy Boboye was also serving the second of his 3-match ban by the LMC for an incident in Ibadan against 3SC.

That was enough morale booster for the home team, who capitalized on it to reclaim their position at the top of the table.

With MFM FC losing 1-0 to Gombe United on Sunday, Plateau United has now gone one point clear at the top of the league table.

The Jos club has 28 points from 15 games, while the Lagos side are one point less from same number of games.
