Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich have confirmed the signing of Real Madrid defender Alvaro Odriozola on a loan deal until the end of the season.
Confirming the capture of Odriozola on their website, Bayern said: “FC Bayern Munich is loaning Álvaro Odriozola from Spanish Champions Real Madrid until the end of the current season. The 24-year-old right-back has signed his contract after successfully completing the medical examination and will already start training at Bayern.
On his part, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, the CEO of FC Bayern München said: "After internal discussions, we decided to meet the request of our head coach Hansi Flick for reinforcement on the defensive and decided together for Álvaro Odriozola.
Odriozola joined Real Madrid in the summer of 2018 from Real Sociedad and won the FIFA Club World Cup in his first season with Madrid.
He has one goal in the four appearances he has managed for the Spanish national team.
