Spain name 23-man squad for Euro 2020 qualifiers as Dinamo Zagreb star receives first call-up

Spain national team head coach Roberto Moreno has rewarded Dinamo Zagreb starlet Dani Olmo with his first senior team call-up following an impressive start to the new season at home and in Europe.

The 21-year-old was part of the Spanish team that lifted the European Under-21 Championship held in San Marino and has continued with the same form for the Serbian side.

Borussia Dortmund striker Paco Alcacer has been retained and will be joined by Atletico Madrid forward Alvaro Moratta.

Arsenal star Dani Ceballos has been left out together with Jordi Alba after the pair sustained injuries while playing for their clubs.

La Furia Roja will play Malta and Romania in the last round of the qualifiers, having already booked a place in next year's tournament.
