The Champions League is back and we've placed three bets on tonight's action.
Here's all you need to know!
🏆 Liverpool vs RB Salzburg
Liverpool opened their Champions League group stage by losing 2-0 at Napoli, but are still heavy favourites at fortress Anfield: they won five of their six CL home matches last season (D1), and are unbeaten in 22 European home games (W16, D6). Additionally, they’ve kept a clean sheet in five straight CL home fixtures. That clean sheet run might come to an end here against a side that has scored 45 goals across their ten competitive matches this season. All three competitive matches at Anfield this season have witnessed over 3.5 goals and both teams have scored in five straight Salzburg matches, and in seven of Liverpool’s 11 this term.
🏆 Barcelona vs Inter Milan
If history repeats itself, there will be only one winner here. Barcelona has won all four previous home head to heads ‘to nil’, and considering they’ve won their opening three La Liga home games this term – albeit with both teams scoring – their favourites tag appears justified. Barcelona, strangely, have failed to find the net in their last two UEFA matches, but they have scored at least twice in nine of their last ten home UCL matches.
🏆 Slavia Prague vs Borussia Dortmund
Slavia Prague continues to surprise and was denied a win at Internazionale on matchday one after conceding a 92nd-minute equaliser. Although underdogs here again, Slavia often relish this tag and are unbeaten in five of the last eight European games that they started as the outsider (W2, D3, L3). Dortmund has won just one of their last six UCL matches, surprisingly, and they'll need stars Marco Reus and Jadon Sancho to be firing on all cylinders here. Slavia has scored an average of 2.09 goals per league match this term.
