In the latest FIFA rankings released on Thursday 19th September, Harambee Stars failed to gain or drop as they stuck to their 107th position.
Kenya were active in the September international break as they played out a 1-1 draw with neighbors Uganda in a friendly clash. Harambee Stars failed to add any points on the rankings despite Uganda being ranked 27 places above Kenya.
2019 African Cup of Nations beaten finalists Senegal remain the top-ranked team in the continent, maintaining their 20th position while Tunisia come second, nine places below Senegal. After finishing third in AFCON, Nigeria are ranked 3rd in Africa and 34th in the world while African champions Algeria are fourth and 38th globally.
Belgium retained their crown of being the top-ranked team in the world while World Champions France come second with Brazil, England, and Portugal rounding off the top five respectively. The biggest gainers in the rankings are Grenada who moved up 13 places while Nicaragua dropped 11 places to find themselves at 148th.
