The Kenyan Premier League week Two clash between hosts Chemelil Sugar FC and champions Gor Mahia as been postponed KPL has announced.
The match which had earlier been scheduled to take place at Moi Stadium-Kisumu ahd been moved to the Kericho Green Stadium on Thursday 18 September but in a post by KPL on Wednesday, there was no reason given for the postponement.
In an earlier interview with Futaa, Chemelil team manager Mr Hillary Ouma had confirmed that the match had been moved to Kericho for logistic reasons and was looking forward to the tie; a move that was confirmed by KPL too through their competition and league's manager Mr Michael Kirwa.
KPL in the latest post said that a later date for the tie will be confirmed as Gor Mahia seek to add to their three points they picked in their league opener against Tusker FC three weeks ago.
Chemelil, on the other hand, had lost their opening game of the season to Zoo, an outing that left them rooted at the foot of the league log.
