Harambee Stars defender Philemon Otieno has been omitted out of Gor Mahia official 2019/20 season squad.
According to a list given by the club on their portal, Otieno’s omission is due to his injury he picked while on the national team duty with the defender already in France for operation.
In the squad, there are four keepers after the departure of Shaban Odhoji to Sony Sugar FC as Ghanian striker Francis Afriyie and Ivorian Gnamien Yikpe also making the list despite not featuring for the club in their last two games.
Derailed by Injuries
Ugandan Shafiq Batambuze is also in the team despite being derailed by injuries with new coach Steve Pollack preferring Geoffrey Ochieng to man the club’s left-back.
The 29 man squad has 24 Kenyans, two Tanzanians, one Ugandan, one Ghanaian and one Ivorian.
