Uganda Cranes defender Mustafa Kizza is confident of a positive result when they face Kenya's Harambee Stars in a friendly match on Sunday at the Moi Sports Centre Kasarani.
The budding defender spoke on Friday after the team jetted into the country, joining some of the foreign-based players who had initially jetted in.
“We are not under pressure playing away from home. This is only a friendly match and we have played a lot of matches away. We are just focused on giving a good account of ourselves,” said Kizza.
Luwagga Kizito, Khalid Aucho, Allan Kyambadde, Emmanuel Okwi, and Taddeo Lwanga were some of the big-name, foreign-based players to have jetted earlier.
Coach Abdallah Mubiru noted that Stars have had encouraging results lately, including their recent show at the AFCON in June, indicating he could not underrate them.
“Their (Harambee Stars) performance has been good in recent times. We are likewise, performing better. It is a high profile friendly match and I am looking forward to it,” said Mubiru.
“They (Kenya) have a good team. Of course, we respect them but we can’t fear,” added the Cranes coach.
The match is set to be played on Sunday 8th at the MISC Kasarani starting from 4:00 PM EAT.
